Gratitude And its Jewels.

Sometimes, or a lot of times I should say, I find myself in deep thought – the kind of thinking in which you’re not satisfied until you’ve explored every single facet of that thought, its pros & cons, its consequences, the impact that may have if you actually carried on with following through with that thought. That’s how i “met” gratitude.

But what is gratitude?

I think that gratitude is not just a feeling, not something you can get instantly like anger, joy, and happiness. Instead, it’s… A state of being.

Something that you can only discover day by day as you continuously move through life by being grateful and giving thanks:

For the air you breathe,

For the food you eat,

For the pain you feel,

For the chance you’ve been given to LIVE.

Those are just some examples, but you can be grateful for whatever you want really, for your enriching relationships and the people that loves you, for the material possessions that are helping you to live life with more comfort…the possibilities are endless, you can find gratitude everywhere – you just have to be still and…actually look for it, feel it, wait for the feeling to manifest, don’t force it because it will happen naturally.

What if all these things that you take for granted suddenly disappeared from your life- how would you feel? wouldn’t you rather feel at peace with everything around you?

I know I do.

The gifts of gratitude are very concrete yet very abstract in my opinion. At times gratitude won’t make itself visible until you’ve lost something very valuable to you, even. Only then you will understand. But just losing something won’t let you experience it, you must couple the loss you feel with the feeling and decision to Start over and try searching for it, especially if you just came out of a difficult situation.

Then, in the end, after you’ve been through all this and finally started giving value to everything important in your life, only THEN those gifts will appear, you will be at peace with yourself and everything that surrounds you, you will have a new outlook on life- and the problems that before seemed daunting and caused you anxiety or trouble will seem trivial and funny! and these are only minor effects that gratitude will cast upon you.

BUT...

You must take the lifelong effort of searching, maintaining and expressing that feeling NO MATTER WHAT.

In a way that someday will become who you are:

Truly grateful.

You Are Falling Into The Trap Of (Fake) Improvement.

Why is that you ask?

Well, let’s say you’ve picked up a few good and healthy habits recently, like:you stopped wasting time scrolling through Instagram and social media, you started eating healthier…that’s great!

…but…

Is that it?

What now? huh? you don’t know?
You see, picking up good habits and sticking to them it’s not going to help you if you don’t know where you’re going.

You can be the fittest, smartest and most disciplined individual around- but if you’re lacking direction all of those tools you’ve learned to use and build with are not going to help you, because oftentimes we get “contempt” with the little stuff we’ve achieved and we don’t even bother considering that-yet again- we need to re-invent ourselves. And we automatically go in autopilot mode, where we THINK we’re improving by re-enacting the same habits day after day, but we’re not really moving.

Keep your habits a CHALLENGE.
IF they’re not hard to stick to anymore, they’ve become part of you-so they are obsolete now. (That doesn’t mean that you have to remove them, mind you)

How would someone get out of a maze or find his\hers way back home with the wrong map? they’ll end up in another place or even worse, stuck in the same.

This is what i call “fake improvement” – ok, you’ve done something to improve, but you need to realize that keeping the same consistency on the habits you’ve built, the things you’ve learned ecc..it’s not enough. Life it’s all about constant change, so STALENESS it’s discouraged. Revamp those habits, add new ones! learn new things! meet new people!

You need to have a Roadmap, little goals that will propel you forward to the bigger one. Don’t do things just to improve, do things to improve AND to reach what you have in mind. Because lack of direction it’s always associated with no results whatsoever, so it won’t take you long before you realize that even that you’ve put in the work into your new habits it’s not giving you tangible results.

Be smart about it.

Take care,

Visualizing As A Way to Prepare for Success

While i’m not a fan on relying completely on this method, (because, let’s be REAL for a moment-you need action to manifest things) taking the time to visualize the things you desire must not be underestimated, because like i said before-if coupled with RUTHLESS ACTION (am i sounding like Napoleon Hill yet?) you can be sure to be on the right path to manifest whatever!

Visualizing your goals, like: where are you going to live in a few years, your dream car, the job you want, the partner you seek, ecc.. can put yourself in that new mindset that is needed to attract those things, you’re preparing yourself and saying to your subconscious mind that you are “ready” for those things to happen, and as a byproduct you’re subconsciously starting to develop and gravitate towards the traits, habits or characteristics that a person who possess those things acts like! it’s not magic or wishful thinking.

Doing so can really give you that “what’s like to have that” feeling, that is so important especially when you’re going through hard times\challenges that can discourage you daily. You’re literally creating those situations in your mind so that you can see what it’s like to be there, what’s needed to actually get there (by calmly seeing how you would accomplish that in a relaxed state) and so that you can prepare for whatever challenges that might come with getting all of those things.

Just find a quiet place and if you’re already used to it, go in a meditative state- and if not, just close your eyes, breathe deeply and sit quietly while working towards those thoughts, and try to feel like you’re already where you want to be for an extended period of time, joyfully lose track of time and allow yourself to relax and see ,feel and enjoy the process along with what you’re visualizing, don’t hold back and go in much detail as possible.

You will find that by doing this daily you will automatically be more relaxed (as this is a sort of meditation too) centered and happy, as well as developing the things you need to get those dreamy stuff of yours-which are usually personality traits at the moment missing in your persona.

Try this out for a week or so, and let me know how you feel 🙂

Sometimes you just have to Fall Back.

That doesn’t mean that you have to give up on your mission.

It’s just a tactical retreat.
You might take it as a “loss” in the short-term view of things (and if you’re proud as i am), but it will do more good than bad to whatever you have going on.

It is not cowardly.

In life, whenever we set our eyes on some kind of prize-we tend to engage in autopilot mode, and while that has some advantages, we usually ignore the risk called monotony. We fall prey of certain behavior patterns that aren’t of use anymore even if they were at first.

And these kind of patterns prevents us from going forward. So we need to snap out of that autopilot mode and “pull” ourselves back, re-evaluate our direction and approach the matter in a new, fresh way.

But finding that new approach can be daunting and seem nowhere to be found, it’s a stalemate, an… artist’s block– so to speak.

What to do, then? while i can’t provide an ultimate solution for everything and everyone of you, i think and hope that my friend Marcus Aurelius can give you some inspiration for these dire times of yours:

“Regain your senses, call yourself back, and once again wake up.

Now that you realize that only dreams were troubling you, view this ‘reality’ as you view your dreams.”

And don’t you dare give up, because your dreams are closer than you think.

SEMEN RETENTION AS A MAN (BRIEF INTRO AND BENEFITS)

If you’re new or shocked by this topic i invite you to continue reading and dispel whatever thoughts you may have, instead engage in a different way to see things, you might otherwise miss what’s at the core of this argument!

What is it:
Exactly as it sounds, you avoid ejaculation in any way shape or form (no by masturbation nor sex ecc..). You keep your seed to yourself. But why do you ask?

Because as a Man, your seed is valuable.
The way I see it (and the Indian culture too) your sperm contains your life-force. In fact, semen itself is life-force. It makes sense since it’s what gives birth to life, isn’t it? Yeah, but for some people it doesn’t make sense when you talk about retaining it, why? since it’s life-force, why would you waste it blindly and thoughtlessly without actually giving birth – reproducing? you’re wasting your vitality, your potential energy, your masculinity. (as well as a lot of testosterone boys!) Ever wondered why once you’re “done” having sex or just ejaculated in general how you felt …tired? followed by a sense of relief? THAT’S YOUR ENERGY GOING DOWN THE DRAIN! …or wherever it’s going anyway. And that sense of release it’s your mind, your whole being that just said: “Well, i have done all i had to do on this earth, we’re done!” thinking that it just gave life, but you really didn’t! your mind in that way is tricked, and you somewhat feel accomplished…but you didn’t do anything, really.

Well, you did waste your energy for a brief rush of pleasure. That’s what you did.

But i don’t want you to think about this in a “spiritual” way, because that’s not the direction i’m taking. I want you to recognize it as wasted potential. Biological potential, take it as what it is, energy:

It’s like you’re wasting fuel from your car. How are you supposed to go where you’re meant to, if all you do with that fuel is wasting it on roundabouts and places you already know?

So what should you do ?

Try not releasing IT for 30 days at first, and you could see these benefits:

  • More energy overall, you will feel less tired, more excited.
  • Your skin will gain vitality.
  • More Testosterone.
  • You will feel calmer, centered.
  • Women will notice it (more prone to approach you).
  • It builds self-discipline.
  • You can redirect the sexual energy in whatever passion\project\business you have going on. (Exponential improvements in productivity.)
  • Better workouts.
  • Increased muscle gain. (not confirmed yet, at least by me)
  • You will feel more masculine in general.

These are just a few major benefits that you could experience.

And before you start discounting the whole thing, actually try this and let me know in the comments that you’re doing so. (Yeah, sounds a little creepy said it in this way i know.)

But being a man that has engaged in this i can confirm that some of these benefits i did experience! I said some because one might not experience ALL of these benefits, i guess it takes a certain amount of time, or it’s based upon the individual.

Let me know what you think about it in the comments. :]

Drink your Caffeine! (Benefits and why you should)

If you already do though (and i’m sure you do), that’s fine and dandy – i’m going to give you more reasons that can convince you that -that’s right – as long as what you put in your body it’s the good kind of caffeine, it has a lot of health benefits.

So get your kettle boiling and your coffee brewing!

As you may or may not know, i’m a health and fitness fanatic, and when i stumble upon ways i didn’t know about to boost my health i become instantly a researcher about that specific topic-to see if there’s actually some truth behind it and how i can make the most out of it.

Now, let’s begin with Black Coffee – not your cappuccino or weird spiced latte. Just pure and strong Espresso, black like your hood neighbor. (And since i’m 100% Italian i’m kind of biased here, but that’s for another time)

The “indispensable” little cup of coffee represents a typically Italian rite, fruit of an ingrained habit that has brought numerous experts to give their take on this matter when it comes to the health benefits\damages that comes with this… dark beverage.

Among the countless nutritional components of coffee there is -the more known and studied- of course, caffeine! since it’s blessed with important properties like:

  • Having a stimulating effect on the gastric and bilious secretion:(That’s why it’s thought that a coffee after lunch helps with digestion)
  • Having a tonic and stimulating effect on the nervous system and the cardiac system:
(That’s why many people appreciate its attention-enhancing effect, whether they need a boost to get through the endless pages of a tome, or just as a pick-me-up kind of thing.)
  • Its lipolytic effect, meaning it’s useful for losing weight, since the caffeine uses the fats in your body as a mean to create energy (so it burns them) and that’s why an Espresso it’s an awesome choice before working out – it enhances STILL FURTHER the fats you’re going to burn and moreover it gives you energy, neat right?!
  • It makes you feel satiated, so it is a valid aid in controlling your appetite.

This DOES NOT mean that you have to chug down countless espressi, mind you.

Because that much caffeine can have a lot of drawbacks, like everything, take it in moderation and be mindful.

Now,
To the green land!

AAAAAH. Green Tea, it might be one of my favorite teas\beverages ever! It’s so versatile and can be sipped on in any time of the day, hot during the winter or ice cold during summer when you need a refreshing healthy drink. Personally i mostly go for the hot version, even in summer.

This ancient tea comes from an ancient civilization too: China! But this variety of tea has reached all of Japan, Korea and India as well as other countries. Let’s see why you should bathe in green tea:

A Famous variety of Japanese green tea, “matcha” – the lighter one on the right it’s called ” usucha (薄茶, thin tea) ” and the one on the left koicha (濃茶, thick tea). As its name and color implies, it is more concentrated.
  • Delays Aging: This might be one of the most known benefits, since the Antioxidant-rich green tea neutralizes the oxidants or free radicals present in the body. Therefore, regular consumption of this tea can effectively delay the signs and symptoms of aging.
  • Has stimulating effects: Just like any other tea or coffee, since caffeine it’s present in green tea as well (even though in much less quantity than in coffee and other teas) you can use it for a nice surge of energy.
  • Boosts your immune system: Research shows that people who regularly drink green tea do not fall victim to common bacterial and viral infections as easily as those who do not add it to their diet. The catechins, present in green tea, prevent bacteria and viruses from attaching themselves to cell walls to infect them. These catechins also counter the toxins released by microbes. This antimicrobial property also protects you from bad  breath, dysentery, diarrhea, tooth decay, indigestion, flu, cough, and cold, and colitis, all of which are caused by the microbial and fungal action.
  • Improves Cardiac Health: Some elements in green tea can also lower blood pressure reducing the risk of stroke and coronary heart disease.
  • Controls Diabetes: If not taken with sugar, of course – the alkaline nature of green tea aids with reducing the blood glucose levels.

But like all things, risks are found along with these benefits as well, so if you’d like to know those risks too – let me know.

But what about you? what’s your favorite caffeine-based (or not) beverage that helps you stay in tip top shape or that just gives you a refreshing kick? let me know!! (x2)

HOW TO DEAL WITH COPYCATS: THE QUICK WAY

Aaaaah…copycats. Aren’t they lovely? at least once in life everyone had one on their necks…may it be for something “lighter” like copying your style and how you speak, or something “heavy” like full-on copying your personality and way of life. Maybe some of you STILL have one that’s bothering you and can’t seem to shake off no matter how much time passes. Worry not, i’m going to explain you why you needn’t worry about them.

Let’s start by saying that usually, copycats that “matters” are somewhat close to you, they’re usually friends and family but they can even be simple acquaintances. What the copycat is doing is trying to get an overall idea of what you’re doing so he\she can copy you…exactly, they don’t even bother digging in. After all the only thing they care about is to APPEAR as good as you, when in reality they’re not. That’s why usually their facades tend to last a little while. This is the standard copycat. Just forget about him\her and go on with your life (this remains true even with business copycats), this kind of copycat will have a “short life”, just wait and see.

Then there’s another form of copycat that it’s a little more extreme and it’s actually very annoying and can be frustrating to have around. This one will be probably someone very close to you like a friend – and they usually use the deep bond they’ve formed with you to get to know you better so they can pull off a well crafted act. At first this person may look like he\she’s admiring you or really likes you when in reality it’s just trying to mimic you because of a simple fact:

These people LACK personality.
And that’s why you shouldn’t be concerned.

Because after a while, people around them (and you) will start noticing this, too!

I know, it’s frustrating at first, but see it like this – they decided to copy you in the first place because you are original and unique! it’s not like they can reproduce your awesomeness just by a mere act, originality it’s something that CANNOT BE COPIED. THAT’S WHY IT’S CALLED LIKE THIS. No matter how hard they try, they’ll look like fools.

Just distance yourself from these people and keep on doing you. You’ll forget them in a matter of hours! you have to be ruthless with the distancing though, the more reason to do so in the case of a family member doing this. You HAVE to make them feel like something’s not right – and that they will gain nothing by trying to emulate your persona.

Because in the end the only people that are TRULY appreciated are the ones that can stay true to themselves and don’t have the need to be someone else to be accepted.
